Biography
Dr. Wang Shuo 王硕Sherry (stage name Wang Yijia 王意迦) is our CAEA visiting scholar for 2023-24
academic year. She comes to us from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts where she is Associate
Professor of Drama and Film in the School of Transmedia. She previously earned a Ph.D. degrees in
Ethics from the Philosophy Department at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and in Drama
Anthropology at Aichi University in Nagoya, Japan. Combining her interests in ethics and theater, she
has been engaging in projects on interdisciplinary teaching and with creative projects in museum
theater and development of youth civic awareness.
