Yun Tang

Biography

Yun Tang is a Ph.D. candidate in Architectural History at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), Beijing. Her research studies modern and contemporary Chinese architecture with a focus on periods of cultural and technological transformation. She examines how architecture respond to change, and how Chinese architectural traditions, together with enduring intellectual and cultural frameworks, are reinterpreted within modern contexts and continue to shape architectural concepts and spatial logics.

Alongside her academic research, Yun Tang maintains an interdisciplinary engagement with practice. Before beginning her doctoral research, She worked in architectural design, spatial and interactive design, and architectural art curation. This background informs her interest in the relationship between architectural theory and practice, as well as in architecture’s role across different cultural and disciplinary settings.
