2005-2006 Postdoctoral Fellowship Description

The Center for the Art of East Asia and Department of Art History at the University of Chicago invite applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship award for the academic year September 2005-June 2006. 

The University seeks an outstanding scholar in East Asian art history who will further his/her own research and is interested in developing teaching skills during the period of the award. The holder of this fellowship is required 1) to be in residence throughout the academic year (three quarters); 2) to participate in regular colloquia and workshops in the program; and 3) to conduct research in a stated field of concentration.

The fellowship carries a stipend of $32,000 and a travel and research budget of $2,000. Applicants must have received their degree by June of 2005 and not earlier than September of 2000.
